Everybody thinks she’s strong – independent – wise. Everyone thinks she can go on a hard day without the need to talk to somebody. Everyone thinks she doesn’t need someone by her side. But she does. She needs someone to ask how her day went. She needs someone to listen to her good and bad news, to her rantings, to her comments and opinions no matter how nasty those are. She needs someone to give her a cup of coffee every single waking day. She needs someone to hug her in the middle of the night when she’s cold and not feeling well. She needs someone to hold her hand when she’s feeling insecure and nervous. She needs someone to love and accept her for all she is – her past, her present and future. She needs someone who knows she’s beautiful and amazing. She needs someone who knows her worth. And that someone should know that she can live without him, but chooses not to. Everyone should understand that no matter how strong a person is, there are days when she can’t just hold it in and her walls can come crashing down, and she needs that someone to take her vulnerability without judgment, without fear and without doubt.
My heart goes out to all the women who needs this someone.
May my prayers to the Lord reach you.
