God knows how thankful I am today and I definitely know I am nothing without Him.
As I’ve said in my previous blog, I grew up thinking that when I ask something from the Lord, I will only receive it when I do something good like go to church for 4 times a month and so on. And when I don’t receive what I’ve asked for, I look back to the days what I’ve done wrong.
For many months now, I’ve not asked God to give me something, but instead I’ve asked Him to protect my heart in whatever I will receive. I asked Him that I will be able to react the way He wants me to and that whatever it is will not change how I see myself.
But deep down, I also know that God is fair, that He will give you what is due to you because what else can He not give? He is just simply gracious and abundant in love. And now that I think about it, He never failed me on anything but I was the one always failing Him. Whatever I asked of God and even when I don’t ask, He gives it to me in His perfect time and I was so busy uplifting myself that I forgot it was all from God and not because I was working hard and deserved it.
Some people have asked, “What if you don’t get it?”, though I know I’d feel bad and probably say some awful things — deep down, I was ready to just receive whatever it is. I was convinced that it does not define who I am as a person. I won’t deny that I’d feel down and will probably lose some engagement in work, but when you think about it, at the end of the day, it’s just work. If it doesn’t work out well for me, I can always find another one and search until I finally found the “one”. Lol, sounded like I am looking for prince charming.
But but but today, I am just so happy and so thankful and at awe at His amazing power! God will raise you up, so that others may see and glorify your Father in Heaven.. and for this to be possible as well, He also gave me people who have helped me in my everyday endeavor. Thank you so much for the patience and for the knowledge you all have shared. I promise to do my best and do my work with a joyful heart.
All praises to God who can give anything in His mighty power! 🙂
